Mindfulness for Managers and Supervisors

Think about how many times you lose your patience, get angry and go out of control during your workday.

This is normal as we are emotional beings, except that as a Manager/Supervisor, we are expected to have a certain decorum, a discipline and not to indulge in and lose control of our emotions.

The good thing is there are time worn practical tools that may help you to better control your emotions to be a better leader as a Manager/Supervisor.

This 2 day program is about that.

Mindfulness practice has a variety of tools for you to learn and use to control your emotions, anger and fear, so you can be inquiring, thoughtful, logical, rational and strategic, even if you choose to act out your frustration – except you are in better control.

We will link these mindfulness tools with practical leadership theories and tools, so you can immediately bridge your learning to your daily life.

Learning these particular skills based on your breath and body will help link with the five timeless virtues of great leaders; Challenging the Process, Inspiring a Shared Vision, Enabling Others to Act, Modelling the Way, and Encouraging the Heart,  that combine the soft and hard skills required for a good Manager/Supervisor (Leadership Challenge – Kouzes & Posner).

Being mindful and self aware, helps you cultivate these timeless virtues by creating a balance between your cognitive skills, mental acuity and emotional intelligence.

These skills need a commitment, patience and a diligent practice to become second to nature on a day to day basis, and we provide plenty of practice in the two days to embody it.
